What are the dates of the trip?

Tentative Dates for the 2nd annual Exceptional Israel trip are: Sunday, March 31st 2019 -Thursday April 4th 2019. Travel arrangements are the responsibility of each individual participant.

What is the cost of the trip?

Here is the cost of the trip:
  • Double occupancy: $3,400 per person
  • Single occupancy: $3,900 per person

What is the deposit and refund policy?

Deposit

A deposit of $500 per person is due by October 1st
  • Deposits are refundable until December 1st
  • Between December 1st and February 1st a 50% refund will be provided

Full Payment

Full payment is due by March 1st.
  • Before January 1st a full refund minus the deposit will be provided.
  • Before March 1st a full refund minus $1,000 per person will be provided.
  • After March 15th No refund will be provided.

What is included in the cost of the trip?

a. Tours, Admission Fees

Guided educational tours of all sites, as well as entrance fees to all sites and activities on the itinerary are included.

b. Hotel Accommodations

Four Nights at luxury hotels

c. Transportation

All ground transportation to all destinations on the tour throughout the trip. Ground transportation arrangements to and from the airport will be made for a group of ten participants or more arriving or departing at the same time. Ground transfers for those not traveling with a group of at least 9 other participants is not included.

d. VIP Airport Service (with group arrival)

Participants traveling with a group of ten or more will be met at the airport, whisked through customs and provided luggage transfer service directly to their hotel rooms.

e. Meals

All meals during the trip are included in the trip price. During the meals provided by the tour, various programming will take place including addresses to the group by leading Israeli personalities.

f. Tips

Gratuity is not included in the price of the trip. Recommended tip per participant is $40 US to the driver, and $60 to the tour guide.

Which hotels will participants stay at?

Participants will spend the first two nights in Tel Aviv at the Hilton Tel Aviv. For the latter two nights of the trip, we will be based in Jerusalem. Participants will be staying at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

How do I book airline tickets?

Each trip participant is responsible to book their own flights. If you need suggestions or help please feel free to contact us. Transportation will be arranged to and from the airport in Israel.

Can I register for the trip as an individual without being associated with a Friendship Circle chapter?

While there will be various communities/groups joining the Exceptional Israel Trip from across America and beyond, we are happy to welcome and accommodate individual participants.

What about Travel Insurance?

Once you have registered for the trip, and booked your airline tickets, we strongly recommend the purchase of comprehensive travel insurance and supplemental medical insurance to help protect yourself from unforeseen circumstances including: Trip cancellation, interruption, and delay, baggage loss, emergency sickness or accident and more. Please note that most insurance policies of this type require purchase within 14 days of your date of registration for the trip.

I am planning to extend my stay before/after the tour, are you able to assist with arrangements?

Yes. On the online registration form is a questions/comment field. Make sure to leave a note requesting additional arrangements and support. Israel Maven Tours, the tour and travel company assisting Friendship Circle with land arrangements in Israel, will contact you to provide you with information and assistance with hotel accommodations, land transport, guides and/or suggested activities.

What are terms of payment?

All prices and payments are in US dollars. A deposit of $500 per person will be charged upon registration. Full payment of the trip will be processed by March 1st, 2018.

Do you have payment plans?

For your convenience payment installment plans are available, providing full payment has been completed by April 1st 2018. Please contact us for more information.

Will this trip be accessible?

This trip will be 100% accessible for individuals who have limited mobility. If you have specific needs please make sure you tell us about them when you register and will make sure to accommodate you.

What is the weather in Israel at the time of the trip?

April is a beautiful time of year in Israel. Tel Aviv is pleasant, with temperatures averaging in the low 70s during the day and low 50s at night. Jerusalem is a few degrees cooler.

Is there a dress code? Any specific clothing suggested?

Comfortable clothing and footwear for walking is recommended. Include appropriate clothing and head coverings [i.e. yarmulkes, scarves] for visiting holy sites. We suggest slightly more formal attire, i.e. business casual for Shabbat.A light jacket or sweater is recommended for after dark.
